1- What is a grass fence?
A Grass Fence (also known as Grassed Fence, Grass Wire, Grass Fence) is a type of fence where grass is grown over a wire mesh. Please google "grass fence" for more information. A grass fence is not a grass carpet, nor is it fabric; it's similar to a panel fence in that it can be applied either on top of a wall or directly on the ground to demarcate boundaries and provide a decorative appearance.
2- What are the raw materials for a Grass Fence?
Firstly, what is a raw material? It's the basic material used in the production of a product or structure. The raw materials for a grass fence are PVC and galvanized wire.
PVC is typically used with a thickness of 90–100 microns. It’s important to consider its thinness in terms of resistance to fading, melting, and burning caused by exposure to sunlight. The PVC used for a grass fence is flame-retardant and resistant to fading.
The galvanized wire has a thickness of 1.6mm. It’s steel wire coated with liquid zinc to protect it from rust and corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor use. This process extends the wire’s lifespan and makes it suitable for outdoor environments.
3- What is a Grass Fence preparation machine? (ALPHA PRO)
A Grass Fence preparation machine, as the name suggests, prepares the grass fence for the weaving stage. It combines PVC and galvanized wire. The resulting prepared material is then woven by an operator using a weaving machine.
4- How many machines are required for Grass Fence production?
To produce a grass fence, two machines are needed:
- Alpha Pro (Grass Fence preparation machine)
- Weaving machine – This machine weaves the prepared material.
5- Does the Grass Fence weaving machine have automation?
The Grass Fence weaving machine does not have automation. It has been experimented with in Turkey and China before. However, as of today, there are no fully operational or likely-to-be-operational automatic weaving machines. This process is done manually or semi-automatically.
6- What is the required capital amount?
For grass fence production, the initial machine capital is approximately $30,000.
- Grass Fence preparation machine: approx. $20,000
- Weaving machine: approx. $7,000
- Additional equipment: $3,000
In addition to machines, capital is also needed for raw materials (monthly):
- PVC: $8,000
- Galvanized Wire: $7,000
These figures are calculated for a single shift (8 hours). If working two shifts, multiply the raw material estimates by two.
7- What is the production capacity?
With one preparation machine and one weaving machine, approximately 150 square meters of material can be produced in a single shift. Normally, it’s advisable to have two preparation machines because one operator can handle both. Also, two preparation machines provide sufficient material for one weaving machine.
- Preparation Machine: 18 m²/hour
- Weaving Machine: 36 m²/hour (can reach up to 50 m²/hour depending on operator performance)
8- Grass Fence production and training
The Alpha Pro machine can be learned within 2–3 days. After purchase, you can spend 2 days in Mersin at our production department to learn.
The weaving machine requires manual dexterity. This is typically gained over 2 months. We do not provide formal training for weaving due to the material loss that occurs during learning.
9- Why should the ALPHA PRO Grass Fence machine be used?
Because we have been producing grass fences since 2020. To date, we have produced over 1 million square meters. Today, we continue with a monthly production of 60,000 m². We tested many machines before developing our own and became experts in the process.
The first prototype was built in May 2023. Then, as a manufacturer, we passed on what a machine should have to our technical team. ALPHA PRO was not designed to be sold, but as development progressed, it gained high praise.
- ALPHA PRO is 100% developed by real producers.
- Designed to eliminate problems faced in real-world production.
- Can achieve 150 m²/day performance solo (user data suggests even more).
- Built using the best bearings, drivers, and parts on the market.
- Vibration issues have been minimized based on real damage observed during operations.
- Plug-and-play part replacement system is implemented for ease of maintenance.
